Why LaRos

How every LaRos is built

Plenty of conveyors look fine on the quote. Ours are built for the plant floor: heavy frames, big pulleys, and nothing hanging off the side to catch a sleeve or a forklift.

Ships ready to run

Fully assembled with the belt tracked, as big as fits in a dry van. You uncrate it, set it and add power. No week of assembly and belt tracking on your floor.

Welded C-channel frames

10 gauge steel channel, welded, with 3" x 2" tube cross bracing. Not T-slot aluminum extrusion. People stand on conveyors, so we build them to take it.

Bigger crowned pulleys

4-1/2" crowned pulleys at minimum, on 3/4" to 1-7/16" shafts. The bigger bend radius tracks better, carries heavier welded cleats and makes expensive belts last longer.

Heavier axles, bearings and stands

Larger axles and bearings than the light-duty lines, on sturdier stands. Usually Bodine gearmotors.

Smooth sides

Take-ups sit inside the frame, not hanging off the outside. No exposed spinning axles at the side of the conveyor.

Built to last decades

We regularly supply parts for LaRos machines 30 years old and more, from job and serial records going back to 1976.

Industries

Built for molders. Built heavy enough for everyone else.

LaRos grew up on the injection molding floor. The same welded frames and big pulleys carry stampings, castings, machined parts and shredded material. Send us your part and we will tell you straight if we are a fit.

Plastics / Injection Molding

Under press, robot unload, grinder feed, separators, cooling and reject control. Our home turf since 1968.

Metal Stamping

Heavy parts off the press and into the bin, on welded steel frames.

Die Casting

Hot castings out of the cell, with quench and cooling options.

Machining

Parts out of the machine and away from the operator, with oil-resistant belting.

Recycling

Shredder and grinder feed and unload, with hoppers and metal detection.

Six things we need. That is it.

Send what you have. If you are missing something, we will help you figure it out. We return a drawing and a price.

Start Your Quote
  1. What the conveyor carries and the machine it serves (press, robot, granulator).
  2. Belt width and overall length, or the space you have.
  3. Load height and discharge height.
  4. Power available and any controls or interface you need.
  5. For grinder feed: the granulator model and its throat height. For metal detection: the metal you need to catch.
  6. Options: hopper, chute, detector, stand, casters.
